Construction/Zoning Official– Has chief administrative responsibility for administering and enforcing the provisions of the NJ Uniform Construction Code. Directs, plans, organizes and supervises staff and activities that carry out the NJ UCC. Analyzes inspection problems and establishes appropriate methods. Must have three (3) years of experience in the preparation and revision of building construction plans and specifications or in the inspection and enforcement of zoning and building construction laws and regulations. Must possess a valid NJ Driver’s License and a valid license as a Construction Official, Building Subcode Official, Fire Inspector & Fire Official, and Plumbing Inspector; with technical licenses such as High-Rise and Hazardous (HHS), Residential Commercial Specialist (RCS), Industrial and Commercial Specialist (ICS) issued by NJ DCA.
